Senior Project Planner / Planning Engineer

Senior | Hybrid (Netherlands) | €6,500 - €8,500

About the role

As a Senior Project Planner at Procon, you’ll take ownership of detailed project planning activities across multidisciplinary engineering and construction environments. You will work autonomously, engaging directly with clients and project teams to develop robust schedules, monitor performance, and support decision-making with clear, data-driven insights.

This role requires someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving practical problems, and is comfortable representing our company with confidence, clarity, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise project schedules in Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud, and MS Project

  • Engage with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure plans are realistic, logical, and aligned

  • Work hands-on with site teams to gather real progress, constraints, and forecasts – turning field reality into accurate schedule performance

  • Provide objective planning insights, critical path analysis, progress reporting, and scenario modelling

  • Support clients with planning governance, schedule assurance, and interface coordination

  • Present schedule data clearly to stakeholders at all levels

  • Act as a trusted consultant and ambassador for Procon, maintaining strong relationships and delivering exceptional support

What You Bring

  • 7–10 years of experience in project planning / project controls

  • Strong practical understanding of how projects are built, sequenced, and executed on site (this is essential)

  • Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and drive planning deliverables without constant direction

  • Excellent stakeholder and client-facing communication skills

  • Strong technical acumen with an analytical mindset

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud, and MS Project

  • Knowledge of risk management (qualitative and/or quantitative) is a strong advantage

  • Fluent in English and capable in Dutch (minimum A2 level – spoken and written comprehension)
