Planning support for a first-of-its-kind drilled foundation campaign

Procon Planning supported Van Oord during the Transport & Installation of jacket foundations for the 496 MW St. Brieuc OWF. Due to the rocky seabed, a completely new methodology was required, drilling the pin piles into the seabed using specialised offshore drill units. With high risks, tight milestones and many unknowns, real-time planning was essential.

We provided weekly scenarios, installation cycle monitoring, and short-term look-aheads in close collaboration with the offshore teams, enabling controlled execution and accurate assessment of delays and entitlement. Our hands-on, adaptive planning support was key to managing one of Europe’s most challenging foundation installation campaigns.
